Karting Clubs and Organisations

The Adelaide Dirt Kart Club first started out back in 1980 under the name of Noarlunga Kart Club. In early 1985 a local motor sporting club invited the club to use their track facilities at Lonsdale, South of Adelaide. Interest soon grew and the local council allocated a site on the old Lonsdale dump site. Construction of a track at Lonsdale began in 1985. Due to the rapid development of the Hallet Cove residential sites in 1986, the council asked the club to relocate.

Superkarting in South Australia is run by the Adelaide Superkart Club Inc. which is affiliated with CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motorsport) and is conducted in a strictly controlled environment.

The club was formed  in 1971 as the Adelaide Kart Club. It was borne from members of the GoKart Club of South Australia in order to promote long circuit kart racing.

The ACKC is all about it’s members and racing. We are striving to make karting accessible to anyone who wants to race, male or female from ages 7 and up.

The Albury Wodonga Kart Club Inc. was formed o­n the 27th of May 1985 after a small committed group of karters saw the need for a local club. Four years passed with these founding members working with local authorities to find a venue as they willing drove hours to satisfy their addiction.

Many sites were inspected but still no local track. As anyone will tell you, it is always darkest before dawn, so too was the birth of the track. When all seemed lost , the Wodonga Council and Albury Wodonga Development Corporation rallied to the rescue with a long lease for the current land.

Alice Springs Karting Club originated in1987 by a group of enthusiastic petrol heads seeking an affordable thrill of speed and excitement that didn't break the bank each time you crashed.

The Angas Go-Kart Club now caters for dirt kart racing enthusiasts of all ages and has one of the largest memberships in Australia. Our members represent a wide cross-section of the Community and come not only from the Adelaide Hills and southern areas, but also from the northern, eastern and western suburbs just to be a part of the race atmosphere at Angas.

It is testament to the Club that we still have sons, daughters and grandchildren of some of the original founding members still racing or involved in the club.

Auskart Racing is a 4 stroke kart club based in south east Queensland that offers racing in a safe, friendly competition environment without losing the excitement of close racing.

To create, promote and maintain a professionally administered sport and industry environment ensuring the viability of the professional and recreational auto racing industry for the benefit and enjoyment of all the key stakeholders – the people who participate, the people who watch them participate and the people who provide the infrastructure to enable them to participate.

Australian Kart Racers Alliance (AKRA) is dedicated to providing cost-effective, simple, social and fun go kart racing for clubs and competitors. AKRA is passionate about club karting, and is here to help your club be successful in re-building the sport and hosting many fantastic go karting events.

We empower clubs to run events the way they want to run them. With AKRA, clubs can specify their own formula around tyres, class weights, engine eligibility, restrictor size, etc.

We run safe, controlled and fun go kart racing for the whole family on a dirt track for club members.

Race days are advertised on out teams app and also the facebook page with gates opening at 8:00am.

Gates open at 8am and each race day we charge $35 entry fee per driver, or $80 for a family of 3 or more drivers (from the same household). 

All drivers, spectators and marshals must sign in.
